How To Kill a Mustache...

Shave my mouth brow? NEVER!
(I usually end up killing mine though in a tragic trimming accident by being late for work...) :icon_lol:

(Its the 'spaghetti western' theme music that makes this one enjoyable, for me...)

Very apropos because of Movember Cancer awareness and all those who can't wait to go bare again. Myself, I've had a stash for many years that started mostly out of laziness and have been approached lately to remove it for charity. We'll see.

Very cool! When I got out of the service in 1972 I grew my mustache and beard out and I have not been without it ever since, don't even remember what I look like without one!:icon_eek:

dirt squirrel?.....huh?

That was a new one to me. :icon_lol:

I can't stand having a beard in warm weather, so it gets removed in the spring.
Usually by this time of year around here, I have it grown in fully for the cold.
Been so warm here this fall, I actually trimmed up the face this weekend like I would in the summer time.

Now I found out this morning the weather forecast is back to normal single digits here, next week.
Hope I can grow out enough to help a little bit against that cold weather. :isadizzy: :icon_lol:

I usually shave my beard off every 16 years or so. Do without it for a week, and then decide the shaving is just too much trouble. Then grow it back.

I grew my mustache in Nam in 1968 and added a beard in 1983 and never got rid of them.I'm afraid if I shaved them off I wouldn't know who I was when I looked in the mirror.

Same situation for me: after 35 years as a smooth-faced lad in the military, I let it all hang-out after I retired. Never looked back. Now, it'd take something very serious (napalm attack, chemo-therapy, et cetera) to make me part with my facial fur.

However, I suspect the Missus sometimes conspires against it. Dunno what it is about females and face rugs; maybe it's an envy thing: "If I can't have one, you shouldn't either".

As for seasonal temperatures, I trim mine a wee bit shorter in the summer, and let it get a tad bushier in the winter, which nicely prevents that "frozen-face mask" thing one's left with after exposure to a cold wind.

My first post about my beard; doubtless, my last

I have only shaved my mustache twice since 1987....and both times were due to me taking one side of it off after forgetting to put the guard back on my trimmer. When half of your 'stache ends up in the bathroom sink....there is no way to fix that. So, shave it off and let it grow back. I feel totally naked without my mustache. The youngsters at work envy my mustache...it is quite impressive. Not as impressive as Tom Sellecks....but unlike his 'stache, the young men at work can stare in awe at my Cookie Duster each and ever day.

Grew my 'stache just out of boot camp in 74. I did shave it off for a few years back around 2000, but grew it back. Tried growing a beard a couple of times, but mine just grows in too patchy.
