HU:Freeware Sukhoi Fitter (Beta)

I've had this bird for a few weeks now...not the updated Beta, but the original Beta package. I have tweaked the effects on the plane. Wing vortices, an A/B gauge by Rob Barendregt that works like a real AB (AB does not kick in just because the throttle is 95% or more, with this new gauge the engine has to be at full power and the pilot has to engage the AB system). I packaged up the effects and gauges (these effects and gauges are my Standardized Effects System for Jets with 1 and 2 engines) and the tweaked panel config and the tweaked aircraft.cfg files. Will attach them here....will no upload to the library as this is still a BETA plane and things may change in the coming months as it is brought to completion.

The only effects file I did not include in the package is the Iris Heat effect...if you have any of the freeware IRIS jets, you most likely have this effect file in your sim.

What a great thread. For a beta, this is looking very, very nice.

Zsolt, what do you think of this scheme? The colours are faded, because of outside storage, but it might be nice ...

The panel / Effects update is not perfect.

The afterburner flame is constantly on, the drogue chute is (when all the lights are on; press key "L") always visible.
In the VC are missing the HUD and the handle of the gear lever.
The side intake ports on the front of hull no longer work.
Normal is when the landing gear down, then open when landing gear up, then closed.

The version is Sukhoi Su-7 beta2.
 
I can't seem to download version 2 of the Beta, and am logged in properly to Avsim ...

Hope you release that Polish livery Zsolt - Looks great ! Mike :applause:

I had the same problem.. copy the "zip-name" and search for it at AVSIM ;-) It works ! btw ... notice for repainters !!! You need both versions !!! beta 1 and 2. In beta 2 is a psd for the cockpit included. In beta 1 the psd's for the aircraft.
 
I just did a bit of work to the camo skin....gave the tail pipe area a more realistic metal look and formatted the new bmp in 32-bit 888-8. Talk about making this bird look much better. Looking at the paint kit, it doesn't seem that there is a whole lot unfinished to the bird. For a Beta, this Su-7 sure is a winner.

Crap, the SU-7 isn't set up for reflective textures. Suppose I will have to make it so.

Unfortunately, the models don't take the reflective tweak very well at all. The air brakes and the intake vents (which open on the Canopy Nose commands) flicker after being made reflective. Hopefully, the final models will be reflective.
