• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

HU! JR Lucariny cleaning house.

So does this infer that he has VC's in all his aircraft, but simply chose not to make them usable?

Maybe, because the VC that these planes have are visible from outside the plane, what we do with this process is that these VCs are visible from inside the plane, do not forget that this can not have working VC gauges .

Normb, I am also interested in how to do this. Can you provide a link to a previous thread? Or if you already have the procedure down, pls post a how-to here.

Tarpsbird! the process to make this happen is simply explained by me, the thread to which you make reference, perhaps it is that I was involved in the forum CFS2. Not my discovery, but is SIMONU. This thread was originally started a few years ago, and the string was mentioned by simonu "00 68 00 02 00 80" but I´ve never found it in a model, so I looked for parts. in some cases is 02 00 80 and in most cases is 68 00 02. If you have the hex editor, find the search tool, and you should find values exadecimales, look no text. Stop the cursor on the number 2 and type 3 and ready. Then make changes in the view point in the aircraft file , because u´ll start viewing from 0,0,0 feet model reference
.

I can't find the original post about using the Hex editor but Mission has summed up the original: Use hex editor to change the "02" to "03" in the model file then adjust the view point in the aircraft file as required. I use "HxDSetupEN" that I found somewhere or that was referenced in the earlier post.

Does anyone have some other tips on what we can easily modify in the model file?

For instance: I would like to get some landing gear drag added to Mike Stone's AT-9 but all the normal tweaks don't seem to make any difference.

some pic!

I dont know if is the same in all hex editor , but must be. this pic belong to Fi167ger by Lucariny

Thank you misson and normb, I now understand how to do the "find" in the hex editor. I will try it again on Mike Stone's PBY. :salute:

UPDATE: Worked fine on Mike Stone's PBY after I changed hex editors from FRHED to HxD. Thanks again guys.
