HU - NVidia Drivers

Looks like I have to get an up grade to the 285 then! :icon_lol:

Anybody want to buy a pair of 8800 GTX cards then.

No problems with my 8800 GTS 512. Driver does support these "older" cards.
I use the latest NHancer, with the recommended settings for FSX.
Works for me.

I sit here corrected Robcap!

When Moe or someone listed the 185 drivers several weeks ago, I think they may have been beta and when I looked, the specifically said for 9-series and 285 cards. Now, I did an automatic check with my 8800 GTS 512s and sure enough, the 185.85 drivers are shown as the most current.

Oh well, can't hurt, can always roll back.

So far no problems whatsoever. Some new additions to the nVidia Control Panel, which I did have to use to reset all of my SLI and screen properties.

But FSX and FS9 are just as before, can't tell any improvement in frame rates or look. At least there is no loss of detail. FSX in DX10 still displays the flickering taxiway and runway markings! Errrrr!

Thanks for the info.. I rolled back the 179s because i just didnt trust anything over 180. glad to see that 182s work. i'll change over to them instead..

If you're on an early 8 series card, I'd stick with the 179s. The 180s were nothing but trouble on my 8800GTS.

9800GT 1GB - Using a TH2G Digital and 3 1440x900, the higher widescreen resolutions (4320x900 and up) were no longer available to me, leaving the resolution capped at (I think it was) 3870x1024. Rolled back to 182.50 and am able to use the correct resolution again.

I had exactly the same problem and have gone back

I installed these drivers and could not even get into Windows. Made it to the screen with the symbol before it makes the sound and my password screen comes up, then...........nothing. Black screen. This is on Vista 64.

Went back to the 182.50 series and everything is fine again.

works fine

I installed the 182.5 and the 185.5, didn't work. But the 185.85 works great.

huh, just noticed i was still using 178.xx drivers and installed these, my stutters are gone and i think (fingers crossed) my FSX crashes have stopped...i was yanking out my hair trying to figure out why mid-flight my screen would go blank and computer shut off (computer temps were holding fine).
