    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I got invited to the grand opening of an unusual business yesterday. The location of it is a former prison, not far from Everglades City, FL. The prison, known as Copeland (or Deep Lake, or Jerome Road Prison) was created in 1945. The State of Florida shut it down, and abandoned it around 2002. In 2010, it was bought by some folks, who are turning the former prison into a privately owned/managed training facility.

Tours were given of the place, and they had a pig roast. The firing range was available for practice, but it was so hot, I chose not to.

Interesting place though! A bit of a drive for me. About 2 hours....
