I don't port much but when it's a....

This was over RAF Kenley, near London...

I acually remember turning the lights off as I took off for that flight. The red strobe was reflecting into the cockpit and I just turned them all off. I noticed how dark that cockpit shot looked after I posted it. It wasn't that dark when I was flying!

PRB,

I suspect that is the fx_beacon.fx causing that. You can update the effect by changing the properties of that effect if you like. Or copy the one listed in the lights section and name it for the Grizzly.

light.2 = 1, 4.0, 0.0, -1.7, fx_beacon, <<<------- This is the one I think causing the issue
light.2 = 1, 4.0, 0.0, -1.7, fx_beacon_griz, <<<--- Copy, change and rename like this

If you create a new one, you might want to rename this line as well:
light.9 = 1, -24.65, 0.0, 5.2, fx_beacon,

[Properties]
VirtualCockpit=0 <<------ This is the way to turn off that VC issue.
Spot=1
Tower=1
Map=1

This simply says that I do not want to see beacon flashes in the VC.

Thanks, Milton. I'll try that!

One other thing about how dark it looks in the cockpit in that shot. If I view it with my other computer, the one I flew it in, with the big flat screen monitor, it doesn't look dark like it does on this monitor, an older CRT style monitor. Wierd.

Milton:
I wouldn´t mind converting it over FSX as a native model, give me a buzz, i´ll gladly do it..i´m currently working simultaneously on 4 different projects!! need a breather..i´ll do it for the community(also ´cause that´s one cool yet freakish looking plane!)
Best regards

Wow! That is a heck of an offer. But ... with what you have going on, I would be scared of overwhelming you. :)

There are two models and 5 variations, although simple to merge the options together.

The larger issue would be the many textures I would think ... the animations are not bad.

If you wish to take it on, PM me and its yours. :isadizzy:

Roger, the propspin was excellent, all I needed, here's a WIP.

Nice offer prowler. :icon29:

Well, i´ll give it the full razbam treatment, and that means dropable ordnance, just like the A-6, EA-6B and the Banshee expack..all I NEED Milton is, that it (please) don´t be multi-material, other than that, it´s a no brainer..as for multiple textures, mapping wont be touched, new materials will be assigned , it´s just a matter of getting it up and running..

Prowler - would it be possible to allow for bump maps / spec maps in the FSX version ?

It should fly well in FSX as I did most of the flight development in that venue, with final tweaking for FS9 as that was the designed target sim.

I am glad to see that Milton's talents keep getting sharper and sharper!

Cheers: Tom
