i always wondered if i see it on the monitor
is it the monitor or vid card that saves the image?

It's the vid card, but at least we can see that you've got a luxurious wide-screen LCD! Congrats, Henry. I know when I got my first 16:9 22" monitor, I was tickled. Makes a big difference in the flying, doesn't it?

Dont forget to edit the line WideViewAspect=False in your FSX.cfg to read WideViewAspect=True

that is an important note and allows you to see more of the image to the left and right that otherwise would be cut off - but you might notice some 'fishbowl' effect if you zoom back too far...

that looks like Orbx terrain - those folks are the masters - I am blown away by the freeware Tasmania that I have...I'll need more horsepower before I buy the rest of their beautiful product, as it tends to bog my mediocre rig down in dense autogen regions - but in my oppinion they make FSX look like it should... day or night, dawn or dusk

Loved it when I got my Dell S2209W 16:9, 22" 1080DPI monitor. man it was great, but I had to get another card for me to be able to do anything gaming wise. congrats man, widescreens are the best
