I have a question about mdl files

Is there any way to open mdl files of CFS2 with gmax?
If it is, please let me know.

Regards.

No sir...you have to have the designer's source file from which the final mdl was created...and that's not easy to get for obvious reasons.

What is it that you want to do to the .mdl and what is the aircraft?

Sometimes there are ways to do things without tampering with the file. Someone may have already done what you're after.

If not you could always be pointed in the direction of the author and they may be prepared to revisit the aircraft.

The reason why I have this question is I'd like to refer for modeling.
I'm never going to tamper.
bearcat241 and hewman100, thanks.

Ah! I can't say off the top of me head who uses GMAX, but as you are after the source as reference to help you get your own modelling off the ground I think someone is likely to oblige.

Anybody prepared to have a crack at modelling is regarded quite well 'round these parts.
