'I Hope George Lucas Does A Good Job On This One...'

My college advisor, and favorite professor, wrote a good book about the Tuskegee Airman titled "The Divided Skies: Establishing Segregated Flight Training at Tuskegee, Alabama, 1934-1942" (Robert J. Jakeman), which I believe was one of the first books on the subject...at least the first book to cover the development of the flight program at Tuskegee. Dr Jakeman is a retired Air Force aviator and Alabama native...

...but I digress...

I also hope he gets it right. "The Tuskegee Airmen" was a good movie but it could have been better. And I hope it is historically accurate.

I agree with you Panther, hope this film is superb, and portrays the airmanship and heroism of the Tuskegee Airmen very accurately! Looking forward to it indeed ! Mike :salute:

Yes, I hope Lucas doesn't make it a Hollywood style story, mix fact with fiction, or generally screw it up. HBO's The Tuskegee Airmen was a very good film.

He does a great job on all of his films and goes by the guide lines of any book or story. Hollywood hates him because he doesn't let them tell him what to do.

He used to do a good job but hasn't for a long time in my opinion, so I don't hold high hopes for this.

Lucas has wanted to do this film for a long time, but was sidetracked by this thing called Star Wars. I agree with reyrey about HBO's The Tuskegee Airmen. Good. Could have been better.

I hope this gets through the filming...I've heard there have been so many re-writes and set backs.....

This is no George Lucas film or even close.

I made this video before I got a better PC to make video . This video was made quite a while back.

Good to see Mr.Lucas getting with the program. lol

I'd be willing to bed this one will be a good movie/story.

Personally, I enjoyed the HBO version. Larry Fishburn and the others did a fine job in their depiction. It was however not a high budget film meant for the big screen. I hope the new movie casts more light on this great man:
