I just uploaded the George Diemer Sikorsky S-39B

Thanks, Pepe (and George)!

I got it loaded up and am already enjoying it!

I know this is probably mentioned in the original readme- I will go back and read it- but what would be the recommended sound accompaniment?

Right now I have it aliased to the AH Birdcage sound.

Cheers,
MR

Peperez,

Outstanding work! I'm really getting to enjoy my collection of converted seaplanes! :ernae:

MR the S-39B was equipped with a P&W 985 Wasp Jr rated at 300hp then upgraded to 400hp and finally a rating of 450.

Will doing some testing for CM Carlson on his OS2U Kingfisher. I found a great [best sound I've ever heard for a Wasp Jr] sound in a FS2002 Beaver, sorry I do not remember the authors name. Best I can do.

Hi Skipsan,

I might just have that Beaver packed away some place. Are FS2002 files compatible with CFS2 or do they require some tweaking?

Thanks,
MR

Found one in my archives!

Would this be the one?

File ID reads:
FS2002 Aircraft - Dehavilland DHC-2 Beaver. All new for 2002, the favorite of bush pilots everywhere. Completely new with moving parts, 32 bit textures and 5! versions. This package has the standard wheeled version, amphib, floats, skis, and tundra tires. All new panel by Fred Choate with sounds by Aaron Swindle and aircraft by Steven Grant.
Here is the logo for the Sound Pack:

Sound familiar?

Hope so.

I went ahead and loaded that Beaver sound pack and aliased. Works fine and sounds great- as does the Ford Tri-motor sound.

Either should fill the bill. I wonder if this SkySound/Aaron Swindle pack is the one you referred to?

Thanks agin,
MR

No I'm sure it was a much earlier one. FS2002 sound is compatible with CFS2. However the you sight should fill the bill nicely.
