I need help with salvo bombs for AI bombers

Ok so I'm trying to set up some missions with yashico's B-29 and I am having problems with planes releasing all of their bombs. This is what my dp entry looks like:

Anyways the bombers only drop one bomb with this setting. I've work with this for awhile now it seems CFS2 does quirky things with dropping bombs from AI planes. Any ideas on how I can get all 24 bombs to drop?

Checkout Talon's DPs....

... for AI bomber multiple-bomb release posted here at SOH. However, if I remember correctly, the one aircraft type that no DP will fix is the level bomber.....but I may be misremembering.

There is also some special weapons (AI_bombs) posted in My Stuff (link below) made specifically for level AI bombers. The weapons are actually single bombs that appear visually as a complete salvo of many bombs. :ernae:
 
Thanks guys! I'll give that new dp entry a try OBIO, but something tells me that I might have already tried it that way. I think the level bomber issue TR mentioned might be my problem. The unit family for the yashico B-29 is a 1 (fighter) but the category is 2 (level bomber).

Like I said, I'll give that other dp set up another try, but if that doesn't work, will changing the category for the plane change how it performs as AI? If I change it to a tactical bomber or a strike aircraft (category=6, I don't know what this is exactly, the readme I have wasn't sure on what 6 did either) will that change how the planes flies, compared to how it flys now?

One last thing, TR, do your AI_bombs create only one crater (i.e. the other bombs displayed are only visuals) or do they create craters for all the bombs displayed? From reading what you said, I'm guessing they only make one crater...

Unit Family = 1 means it's an aircraft. Category is the aircraft type.

Changing the category from level bomber to another type will allow aircraft to use Talon's AI DPs effectively. BUT they will not level bomb using the new category. As an Attack Bomber, they will glide bomb.

My AI bombs do make only one crater, but the blast damage effect (set in the DP and FXs) is the equivalent of an entire salvo. Dropped on a group of buildings, it will cause very extensive damage.

I have a nuke, if you want some real damage....and it's a clean one! :costumes:
