Icarusgold Fiat CR.32

http://www.icarusgold.com/FS/viewpage.php?page_id=4

Any opinions about this plane?. Is it a great improvement over the IS4G model?. A while ago I purchased the He 112 from that site and was a bit of a dissapointment, so I wanted to know some more opinions.

Thanks in advance.

Hi JapLance,
I don't know the Icarusgold's CR.32, but I think it is surely better than the IS4G one. At this moment I fly with the Lago '32 included in the "The Crossings" ("Le Trasvolate") package (SM.79C/SM.55X/S.16/CR.32), I think, even it is a little old, it is still very good.
:bump::bump:

I've had mixed results with their products. I love their Westland Lysander and the Fiat Br-20 Cicogna, I was less than thrilled with the Tupolev Sb-2 and the Junkers Ju-86.

I didn't know about that, so I checked Mr Google about it :icon_lol:.

Unfortunately seems like it's only for FS2004, not sure if I could use it in CFS2.

I was also thinking about getting the Ju 86 following the Chirri, as I don't know any other model of this plane. It could have been useful in a SCW or BOB environment. Guess I'll pass it for now :isadizzy:.

The CR.32 pics look really cool, three multilod models and 13 different liveries look like a good deal for less than 8€. I think I'll try to get it tonight.

Well, I got this soon after writing here, but didn't have time to check it until now.

The Freccia/Chirri models are quite good (there's three of them: the basic, the BIS with two extra MG on the low wings, and another one without wheel fairings), a welcome improvement over the old IS4G, and come with a massive number of skins, a total of 13 different ones, including two or three SCW, Hungarian and even Luftwaffe liveries.

The e-mail also came with download links for FS2002 and 2004 versions, but I can't say anything about them since I only have CFS2.

This time I'm not deceived :applause:.

I've had good luck with the Icarus aeroplanes. At one time, the owner, Jack Fola, had a nice Spanish Civil War site at one of the larger sim sites. He also produced a couple of campaigns for the SCW that might still be available at Simviation.

I really enjoy their Br-20 Cicogna, it's truly the only way to fly Corpo Aereo Italiano, especially with the soundpack, airfile, and panel mods that a friend sent me.

Their Westland Lysander is another OUTSTANDING aircraft.

I dont like ICARUS, because all models of cfs2 have not breaking parts!.
:wavey:

Putting aside your obsession with breaking parts models, I'd say that this CR.32 is set for breaking parts. I still need to test the DP file I'm building for it, but I'm almost sure that nose, tail and wings are meant to fall apart if properly damaged.

I find few things more disconcerting than seeing a plane still actively dogfighting with one of of it's wings gone :icon_lol: & then there is that complete wing fluttering down through the air. I often remove the break numbers from a DP to avoid the often bogus (switchblade) looking effect. Too me, a nice fireball is more convincing. Lo siento Maxstuka ;) .

I did a quick test and indeed this Fiat is breakable:

Cool!, meaby the model have a enable option in your construction

I have other model of icarus and not have breaking parts I configured the .dp but the model not has triggers in .mdl .I was contacting with ICARUS ,and Icarus say, nothing model of Icarus have a indication that it has breaking parts in the website, for this reason I saw that I say.

But is a good news your info! thanks JapLance

I was testing the Aeroplane Heavent F3F-2 Flying Barrel is a exelent, incredible biplane!
but nothing model is this for my, if it not has breaking parts but this AH_F3F-2 has it!.
The only that you need to enable this breaking parts is replace the original .dp for my .dp that I upload in the thread.
Erase the .txt in the form of change the file to .dp extension.

Sorry for my bad Inglish!

Now! Enjoy a dogfigth with your Icarus Cr.32 !
