Icarusgold Gladiator preview

update: i have finally adjusted Gloster Gladiator flight dynamics and now flies, land and take off as should been, have to add some new skins and few minor cockpit emprovements, gun effects and then will be released, probably next week end. I will post screenshots about new skins this week.

Also boeing p26 peashooter model it's ready, need only some tests and skins, hope to release it before christmas. Dragon rapide, westland lysander 70% ready and new aerobatics aircrafts are the next models we started

icarus - Any chance you could show a little of the P-26 ?

that plane and the Ryan STA are my two favorite early US monoplanes from that era

The Gladiator VC looks very clean and proper - did you say you were modeling a ski equiped version?

ski and seagladiator will arrive later...now there is only prewar, mkI and mkII, i ll try to post a peashooter screenshot soon but actually it has only a blank skin and virtual cockpit.

Latest test, gladiator should be on sale this weekend

Hi - the cockpit canopy and windscreen look dull in the shot - does it shine a little more?

also that gladiator canopy is very little so it's hard to made it reflective as pitts for example.

True - but it will look very odd if it does not look glazed (just a see through dark texture) as it was a major feature of the gladiator.

Im sorry Icarus You know im a fan - but that glazing looks so dull and not very realistic.

Certainly not FSX

Just for future reference, regarding the F,H&C discussion earlier, according to this book, when the Mercury 8As on the Hal Far Sea Gladiators started breaking, someone replaced a cylinder and piston rod in one of them (Waters's aircraft) with parts pilfered from a Mercury sitting at Kalafrana waiting for Blenheims to arrive.

Apparently both Mercury 8s (Blenheim MkI) and Mercury 15s (Blenheim MkIV) were bodged to fit the Sea Gladioli, but the book doesn't specify which was fitted with each engine. It does say that much of the auxiliary equipment needed to operate the engine on a Blenheim was simply "blocked off" and that oil sumps, petrol pumps, carburettors, etc. had to be modified/built from scratch. They also neglected to remember the "oil-thrower ring", which the Gladiators had, but the Blenheims didn't, resulting in oil pouring out of the air intake. Oops?

That's all I can really say here - I have one, poor quality, photo of "Faith", N5520, during the war and the skeleton of her when she was handed over to the Maltese people. Apart from showing a three-bladed prop off a Blenheim of some description on the front, I doubt they'll be of much use.
