There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

On the textures, there aren't any other than the main panel, the remainder of the interior (side panels, floor, seats, etc., are just color swatches.It's a cool plane... the VC textures need some work (are they even textures?)
But it appears the GPS is home made... rather built from scratch with a bit of a default overlay so kudos to the author for that.
Yea Bruce, just as soon as I win the lottery, pay off my bills, give some to the church and take care of my family, the first purchase I would make would be the Icon A-5 with my name on the canopy frame, lol. A light Sport Aircraft, limited below 10,000, day flights only and I'm about a 10 minute drive from one of the largest man-made lakes in North America. . . .sounds like a plan to me, lol.
Oh, yes I will be uploading what I have in a day or so.:salute:
I wish, lol. . . .really nice all purpose little airplane though. . . .it's nice to dream!You mean of the 500+ they have orders for one of e'm ain't yours!!! Euro lottery is £27 million
this week i'll give it ago.

As for the GPS, I e-mailed the author to see if there was any fix for the fps hit caused when you turn on the "topo" mode. . . .he told me the Moving map only contains elements from the standard GPS500 (done in xml). Not sure why it hits my system so hard but it drops my fps by about 14fps. I replaced the moving map with the GPS500 and no more framerate hits.
I'm on my Blackberry right now, but in a few hours I'll be at my PC and I can give you the info you need.how do you replaced the moving map with the GPS500?, i can't see any gauge in the vc section of the panel config
Panel cfg, VCockpit08 part, like this:how do you replaced the moving map with the GPS500?, i can't see any gauge in the vc section of the panel config
Panel cfg, VCockpit08 part, like this:
[VCockpit08]
//Moving Map
file=A5_SkyMap_C.bmp
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=1
ident=GPS_PANEL
pixel_size=1024,768
texture=$A5_SkyMap_C
gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0,1024,768
//gauge00=A5!SkyMap,0,0,1024,768

Actually I never paid much attention to it since I use a CH Throttle and always have my eyes outside. . . .but you're right, it does move opposite of the way you would think it should. Seems like that would take a bit of getting used to if it actually works that way.. . . . . .One question, though: is it just me, or is the throttle animation in the VC backward? Is that the way it really works in the A5? If so, that would seem like some pilots are going to be confused.

The liveries are tweaked and I'll post them as one package later today. There are only three textures that change for each of the liveries. I'm not familiar enough with FSX repainting to know how to shortcut this, so maybe someone else can explain. Right now, each livery contains all of the original textures plus the three that change. I've seen that most FSX repaints have a "common" folder, then a cfg file in each texture folder which apparently eliminates the need to have all textures in all folders. . . .but in the words of a friend of mine. . . ."no comprende". lol![]()
