If BUFFALO had a Beech 18...

FWIW: I prefer your first "sophisticated" livery much better. It is Flight Sim - you do what ever makes you happy! I found myself splashing around about where to place a "BBQ pit" in a scenery on my system, I spent hours and then the "Duh moment", do what ya want Ed came to me. Your repaints are all just great on every airplane that I have seen. Thanks for your work and great efforts.

Markus, these days most of the refurb. work is done at the Buffalo/Airspray (ex-Airspray?) facility in Red Deer ( much warmer most of the year and the hangars have heat). so a bit of extra work might happen. Otherwise, as much as I like Ver 1.1, I'd be inclined to think Joe would opt for simple (and less expensive), esp. on a 'secondary' a/c like the Twin Beech.

We've got plenty of $$$$ in the account and a great painter ready for work.....I'd go for the sophisticated 1.1 version.

Choice is yours!

That's what I thought. It fits to the impression I got from him while watching the show.
But fortunately, this is no "either/or" decision:
I'll release it with both fuselage textures files, so it'll be your decision whether to spend some extra cash for the swinging nose paint... :d

Outstanding paint job on an outstanding model. Thanks Markus. This beauty will look great no matter where she parks or flies! :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

Just watched one more episode of "Ice Pilots NWT" (#2, where they have to haul a replacement engine to Norman Wells to get their crippled C-46 come back home)...

Do you have a current link to the episodes? People seem to pull the files after a short while, probably due to an unpleasant letter from history.ca

But I don't live in Canada, and I can't hack a satellite feed, so the internet is the only way I can see enjoying this fine program (episodes 1-3, to date).

Maybe the links are blocked outside Canada, but I'm watching episode 8 as I type...

Yes the official links are not available outside of Canada. There was a site a little while back that covered the entire season thus far but it did also remove the videos after a short time. ( guessing because of a letter in legalese )

The problem is that as soon as the videos are available somewhere the links get posted on flying related sites (which is very nice for those of us outside of Canada) but it also means the hunters from history.ca know what door to bang on to get them removed :D :D

Ice Pilots NWT premiered in the UK on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 9pm on Discovery Quest channel.

Sorry America.. I guess you're still stuck with Survivor: Fantasy Island

Markus, I prefer the first repaint. And painting straight lines on a round nose isn't as easy as it might like.

Cheers,
Huub

Just downloaded the skin and added to both wheeled and ski versions. I just can't find Obio's soundpack for this bird..................:iidea:

Really beautiful paints, Markus! Thankyou! :salute:

Right now I'm doing runs up in the Valdez area. The fancy paint is for shuttling passengers and the "Dakota" nose paint I'm using for the cargo variant. They really look great.
Now off to paint up the ski version, amphib and floats.

Good point, Huub!
Painting a straight line on a flat texture file sure is easy - but keeping straight on a spherical curved 3D surface is definately something else...

@ Brent:
Good idea!
Thanks to Milton & team, we do have multiple models to choose from.

Have fun!
