• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Thanks Bjoern,

NZ is on top of my list after visiting Paris,... and Italy. oh and ... Germany :applause:

Is he really NZ's PM? If so whatever happened to the dignity of office. There are reasons politicians don't make good comedians and vice versa. That was just so scripted and awful and cheap and cheezy.

ahh yes...he is tourism minister as well..tourism is one of our biggest dollar earners and has taken a big hit lately..the audience of The Letterman Show is huge which would normally cost millions in advertising dollars to get the equivalent impact..but yes I know where you are coming from

Spot on paul, tourism plug:newzealand:

The words dignity and politician don't generally go together, and isn't the Letterman show just all awful cheap cheese anyway, lite entertainment, no deep thought necessary. at least our current PM has a human side and is able to appreciate the funny side of life.

If your talking dignity of office, look no further than the less than dignified leaders/politicians current and historical of countries like the UK, France, Italy, US of A etcetc, a bit part on Letterman pales in comparison...:monkies:

I didn't see anything wrong with that. At least the guy has a sense of humor. He also figured out a way to get in some advertising for free.

I'd like to tour New Zealand some day. Doubt that I will ever get to but New Zealand and Australia are the only two countries that I'd like to tour other than the U.S. of A. So much right here at home that I've never seen.......

.... This is a good thread..... :ernae: ... We need humour in our life....

New Zealand.... a good place to see... They still love Americans there :icon_lol:

Let's not mix politics in here!!

For cold weather types with some spare money in there pocket south island NZ hosts the 2011 winter olympics (I think).

Not sure where the 2011 Olympics are, but the 2010 ones are in Vancouver, as noted before.

Brian :mixedsmi:

Wonder where I got that from ???? There was some sort of "games" there just recently. But I thought I heard something about 2011. ?! It's a great place for a summer holiday anyway.
