Hi guys. I just reinstalled 1946 after many years. I've got it up and running and patched to version 4.12.2. Any idea where I can find the more recent patches? I've found some old links elsewhere on line and they are all broken. Also, what is the most recent version? Thanks.

Mission for today was really the IL2 site when I still flew this sim. But I'm afraid that was already a while ago.

Just search for "special aircraft service" and "il2 1946" and you'll get the latest stuff.

They have a total conversion called "B.A.T." which adds eras you can switch between by using a mod they have included. You can choose between WWI, Golden Age, WWII, and Jet Age. They also have built in campaigns as well as addons.

There's a cool airship and fighter combo for the Golden Age, too.

It's a bit of a download, but well worth it if you have the disk space. The nice thing about it is that you can just download the latest version and you're all set. No need to download all the previous ones like before.

Guys, for anyone who's still got an interest in IL2, version 4.12.2 is the last version that will work with the majority of SAS mods, including BAT. The folks who patched further had to fall back to this version. Thanks for your help. 👍🙂
 
IL-2 1946 BAT is where it's at. Absolutely fantastic. So much good about it ,makes it better than the Great Battles series. Very moddable and covers so much. Endless playing and enjoyment. Easy to install and set up also, with regular updates to boot. Highly recommended ! Regards,Scott PS. If interested in WW II only,there is a version for just that era-( Red Core) which will save you some HD space.
