• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Just dropping in to Sim-Outhouse today for a quick announcement...

Yesterday, an exclusive Development Diary was launched exclusively with GameSpot (view it here http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/sim/...l-2-sturmovik-birds-of-prey-behind-the-scenes) and tomorrow the official IL2 website will be updated with more dev diaries (video and text), new information (including images) on 11 new planes and a host of news updates.

Keep an eye out tomorrow afternoon at http://www.il2game.com/ to see them first...
 
I see X-Box, but no mention of PC. IMHO firmly places IL2 in the GAME genre and will not appeal to the simmer at all. What is an X-Box anyhoo? :kilroy:
 
as near as i can tell the only thing IL2 X-box has to do with IL2 PC is the name. i don't think Maddox had or has anything to do with IL-2 Sturmovik the console game...could be wrong tho.

Storm of War...which was originally advertised with a release date of November 2006...is a totally different entity.

supposedly its 80% complete now and being talked about a 2010 release date...

i wonder how much percent complete it was in Nov. 2006:icon_lol:

The official word from 505 Games:

"At the current time we are concentrating on are bringing IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey to a new console audience"

The PS3 & Xbobx 360 versions are looking pretty sweet...
