Just had a pretty healthy earthquake here!

No damage, but it was good enough that I was under the desk! :isadizzy:

Yikes!! Stay safe!

Initially, when I read the title of your thread, I started singing Elvis Presley's song....but I stopped singing when I read your comment.

I hope all is ok!

That was a good one!! Got my attention. Usually I just give them a passing yawn. This one woke me up into full alert mode!

All good here except for some rattled nerves. According to the USGS website it was a 6.9 about 100 miles away, in Mexico. I'm guessing that areas around El Centro, CA probably got damaged.

Glad everything is safe there Robert. I just heard about it.

30 seconds! 6.9 on the Richter scale. 30 Seconds is a longgggggg time at that magnitude...

No kidding!
After about 15 seconds I was under something sturdy. My wife says a couple of things in the house fell off of shelves!

You should move to the UK, the worst we get is a few chimneys are slightly damaged every 5 - 10 years

OH how I miss California...NOT!!!!

OMG..This is real time too..

Stay safe...........

Those things so scare me...I love the East coast...

Too far away from me to hear it first, those are the ones I worry about. Just some rolling back and forth for a short while. Nothing that would make me get up off of my lazy...

I heard an interview on Sirius sat radio a few weeks ago talking about the earthquake in Hattie and the one in Chile saying that this could be leading to more earthquake activity, especially on the Pacific rim.

Felt it here in Phoenix. Watching the idiot box when something began to kick the couch. Made the plants and pictures jiggle back and forth. Pretty strong one when you can feel it 300+ km away.

Born and raised SoCal, so I usually sleep thru or ignore quakes.:jump:
We still got our emer. kits tho!

Robert this looks like pretty serious deal and may be a prelude to more. Watch yourself and family Amigo
