Hope everyone is okay down there, Robert. I see there was damage in stores.
Everyone down there is in our thoughts and prayers tonight.

Watching the footage, especially the water rolling out of the swimming pool in a video clip on CNN, reminded me a lot of the 7.3 earthquake near Challis, Idaho in 1983.
We were living just north in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana.
I remember being woke up to the whole house shaking and rolling for a good 30 seconds.
My best friend Scott had grandparents living in Challis.
We hopped in his car after that and drove down to help them clean up and make some repairs to the house.

Damage reports from the U.S.-Mexico border region are growing after a magnitude-7.2 earthquake in Baja California that was felt from Tijuana and Los Angeles to Las Vegas and Phoenix. The quake struck south of Mexicali, Mexico, at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, but damage also was being reported north of the border.

im a california native myself...though earthqaukes are nasty stuff...the wildfires are more distructive in my opinion...as far as frequency anyway..lots of minor quakes all day long everyday that are not even felt..but in summer 1000s of homes are burned every year...im yappin...forgive me
