I am a little behind the times when it comes to applying Rhumbaflappy's new mesh to Europe. Achim is redoing MaskRider's and Xavier's Spanish airbases so they will work with Richard's mesh. Well, it is going less than perfect for me when it comes to putting Europe together according to Rami's latest tutorial. All of the shorelines as well as Jean Bomber's Gibralter are mostly covered with the dreaded solid green and tan squares and I have gone over the tutorial three or four times. I am using windows 7, don't know if that has anything to do with it. Oh, most of the inland areas are fine.

It sounds like your CFS2 program is not reading the ground texture files. Make sure you have all of your ground texture bitmaps in both the CFS2/SCENEDB/WORLD/TEXTURE folder and in the CFS2/TEXTURE folder. A lot of the add on mesh work out there needs to have this done for the textures to display.

I drove myself with my Northern Europe load until Rami came to my rescue with this fix. Hope that's all it is for you too.

Edrufle,

Perhaps you are aware of this, perhaps not, but I wrote a Mediterranean install guide which actually supplies specific instructions for Gibraltar, because I identified this as a problem area where people might "run off the rails."

Why don't you give this a try and see if it helps; I will be around this weekend in case you have any other questions.

Description: "This document is a guide that offers step-by-step instructions on how to install the CFS2 Mediterranean enhancements by Sander De Cocq (SdC), mesh and water masking by Rhumbaflappy, as well as intensive scenery by Jean Bomber and Brunosk, together with numerous airfields by Joachim Schmidt. It is intended for simmers of all levels, but aimed primarily at beginners who wish to experience the Mediterranean with all the enhancements CFS2 has to offer."

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Thanks Rami & Cap'n,

I placed all the texture into the landclass file as directed and I think I tried duplicating it in other files, though I really don't remember what all I tried.

Achim was having trouble with Gibralter also so maybe I can help him out if Rami's Med. guide works for me. I'll let you know. In the meantime . . .

Muchas Gracias Amigos!!! :wavey::wavey::wavey:
