In Memoriam: Paul Clawson (PutPut)

Paul was a prolific contributor to the FS Community. I still fly many of his airplanes like his DGA-15P, the Staggerwing, the Stinson SR-10 and the C-170, to name a few.

He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all.

:sorrow:

I"m surprised by this sad news - I am currently flying and enjoying his Vultee BT-13. Thank you so much Paul for your FS creations! A good fellow flightsimmer and modeller gone :-(

Damn, R.I.P. Paul. Many thanks for all of the wonderful wings you gave us and for rekindling my interest in all of those 1930's interwar aircraft.

My condolences to his family and friends as he will be deeply missed.

Very sad news. He gave so much to the community. A search at FlightSim brings up 345 entries, from the FS98 Aeronca 7AC Champion in February 2000 to the Fairchild 22 in July this year. Thank you, PutPut.

Very sad news indeed. Thank you for all you shared with us flightsimmers. RIP Paul Clawson.

My earliest contact with Paul Clawson was when I asked him to tweak the texture mapping on his SB2U Vindicator so I could repaint it for VMSB-241 at the Battle of Midway. He was happy to do it for me, that's the kind of person he was. I'm sure just about everybody in flight sim has some of Paul's planes in their hangars. His body of work since FS98 is incredible. RIP PutPut.
