Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Incredibly Fun Fictional Jet - Snow Explorer

Brand new on Flightsim.to! A fictional (based on hotwheel/matchbox model) jet on skis! This is from a new one-man developer.
It has a surprising attention to detail (shock absorbers on the skis, and the cockpit just works wonderfully as a concept). Note: The ski contact points do act as wheels for operating in non-snowy environments if you wish.

Yep, I agree. It's a lot of fun to fly! NC

I just love how one rivet counter on Flightsim.to gave this a 3.5-star review because the performance didn't match the specs on the airplanes details.

That's right. Someone complained about the flight modeling on a Matchbox plane.

(Also, every knows Matchbox vehicles' performance degrades the more you play with them. Duh.)

Gotta love it!

I'm helping the developer test an update to the model (one of possibly many). Up next you can expect the skis to be retractable to be flush with the belly while in flight, some modifications to the aircraft performance and engine temp readings, a change to the landing lights (currently relying on FBWAirbus asset...switching to default Asobo and modifying light depictions), and a brand new repaint featuring a blue, white, and red design reflecting another version of the real Matchbox/Hot Wheels model!

After that, the developer may introduce anti-ice switches and systems, as well as a version of this aircraft with wheels and with floats.
