IndiaFoxtEcho (Dino's) Eurofighter Typhoon released

Dino: Good news! Commenting out those modules fixed it! I've done two sets of circuits and no pauses:very_drunk:
It's really great to fly with good fps on my system.
Finally I/we have a decent eurofighter!

A couple of minor observations:

1. There doesn't appear to be a touchdown sound when the wheels hit the ground.
2. After I press ctrl,shft ,R -the plane appears to roll slightly to the right, not sure why yet!

Many thanks for another great fighter for FSX!

I sorted the trim issue, it was a problem on my side..!
I have tried dropping Some bombs but do not see any explosions or here any noises when weapons are launched.
Is this current behaviour with the product?

Thanks!

@Outrun74

The current release has no sound during wheels touchdown, nor sound when a weapon is released.

As for the explosions, no - it is not the indended behavior. Weapons should explode as usual with Tacpack (actually, there is no part in the Eurofighter code which prevents them from exploding... so I suggest you check your tacpack installation or update it).

Problems with chaff/flares

Hi Dino. I have been flying the Typhoon and I haven´t been able to release chaff o flares. The manual says "The only DASS functions currently available in the simulation the
discharge of chaff and flares via the chaff/flare release switch, located on the left throttle top". But I cannot find any functional switch on the left Throttle top. I´m using FSX, not prepar3D. Any suggestion?

Best

Alberto

Outrun:
TP bombs, both slick and retarded have a time of fuzing and a time to impact, if TTI is less than TOF bomb won't explode.

Well it is a bit late, but thank you very much for this next masterpiece:applause:.
It is a real joy to fly and paint!!!

Keep up the great work,

Christoph

@Christoph_T

Thanks for the appreciation

"C" and "F" keys control the chaff and flares release (they only work in internal views)

Really loving this EF2000..!

Couple more minor issues noticed:

1. Hud still visible with canopy open
2. Logo lights still appear on after powering off aircraft
3. Beacon seems to make the whole cockpit flash when on, so I switch it off!

Thanks

Does anyone know how to set the tacan?
I have pressed the aids button, set channel, type 017x and enter but I cannot see the tanker anywhere on my mfd's?

Thanks!

About Freezes

Hi,

Well, about freezes, I've got the same problem with the SSW F-104G : after a certain distance from start point (about 80 NM) I get a screen freeze for 30-50 secondes, then it continues. After this, I get regulary small and short freeze (up to 5 sec). Tacpack is not concerned as freezes occur also without Tacpack.

But with F-104, when I unable the module nasarR15A.dll then no freeze!

May be a way to explore if Dino's Typhoon has some codes from SSW 104!

If it could solve this issue, I'll be happy.

Cheers

Daniel

@Outrun74

The current Tacan system does not support Tacpack Tankers.

@dggoofy

There is no code from the F-104!
The reason why some users experience freezing is still unknown, but still you may try the advice below (from my facebook page)

"If you are experiencing temporary freezing issues with the Eurofighter Typhoon, and if you know how to edit a panel.cfg file, for one you can try and comment out the ASR.XML, TSD.XML and DAS.XML which provide avionics functions which are not used by the Typhoon. Apparently this may fix the issue for some users. These entries will be deleted in the next update."

The changes bewlow will be applied to version 1.08 in any case (which will be out soon).

@all

Please remember that the official support for my products is via email at indiafoxtecho@gmail.com or through a message on the indiafoxtecho Facebook page. I cannot guarantee a reply otherwise.

@Dino : Thanks for you answer. I now follow you on FB!

I wrote here because I saw that SSW also follows this forum so I hope they will see the problem because : YEAH:jump: It does the trick! No freeze any more after I deleted the 3 xml lines from panel.cfg

And why I linked it to SSW' F-104, because the freezes occur exactly at the same point with the F-104 and the Typhoon (now not the EF2000 any more :jump:). So may be, they could compare your xml and their .dll and see what could be done to cure the issue.

Cheers

Dan

@Outrun74

Yes - I always keep track of EVERY issue reported. Unfortunately this does not mean it can be solved, but everything goes into a big "to-do" list, which gets addressed as time allows.

Regards

Dino

In regards to touchdown screech sounds, I assume these cannot be heard from inside the cockpit anyway of fighter jets?! Can this be confirmed?

Outrun74, you are correct. But, a little tire chirp at touchdown might increase "immersion" illusion within sim, and make up for other things that can't be felt - but exist in real life, like the feeling of touching down.

But no problem here making soft landings in this model - Dino has done a great job, thank for you allowing participation in your beta. Our online military flying group is loving this Typhoon, and 000rick000's paint scheme is making it even better for United States pilots to "pretend" we have the Eurofighter!
