IndiaFoxtEcho (Dino's) Eurofighter Typhoon released

Thanks for the appreciation!

I have indeed released an update to the Eurofighter which brings a number of improvements. The update went online this morning with SimMarket - other distributors will follow (be aware that some of them are not very fast in complying to my instructions and it may well take a couple of weeks for some of them to update the links).

Product update to version 1.10...

GENERAL
- Two separate installers for 32 and 64 bit versions are now provided

VISUAL MODEL
- Added twin-seat model: external cosmetic mode only – no functional differences (in reality the twin seater Typhoon has a different weight and internal fuel capacity). Cockpit is shared from the single seat version.
- Added following repaints for single-seat model: RAF Demo, Royal Saudi Air Force, Royal Air Force of Oman, Austrian Air Force, Luftwaffe Bavarian Tigers
- Added following repaints for twin-seat model: RAF, AMI, Luftwaffe and Ejercito dell'Aire
- Minor fix to slat UVW texturing (in order to replicate the RAF Demo)
- Changed material rendering for canopy glass

COCKPIT
- Fixed bug in right fuel cock switch mouse area that prevented correct activation in some cases
- Fixed bug with throttle mouse areas that prevented mouse dragging
- Fixed bug that allowed deployment of drag chute when in mid-air
- Implemented lading gear lever down lock when weight is on wheels
- Engine starters are now linked to throttle position like in reality (advancing the throttle will cause the relevant starter to engage if the engine is off)

WEAPON SYSTEMS (TACPACK)
- Implemented JSOW as replacement of the Storm Shadow in Tacpack: a JSOW is fired instead of a Storm Shadow (as it is not implemented in Tacpack)
- Implemented SELF PROTECT mode for AGM-88. Upon AGM-88 selection, the SELF PROTECT option is shown in the A/S mode. When SELF PROTECT is activated, the highest priority threat detected by the RWR system will designated as A/S Target. Note that the the RWR is entirely passive, to the position is only approximate. If the missile is fired, it will fly in the general direction of the threat – then the radiation seeker will guide the missile to the closest radiation source
- Fixed minor bug preventing proper cycling through CCIP/AUTO/MAN weapons release option.
- Fixed minor bug preventing A/S Target update in certain conditions
- Fixed bug preventing manually entered target coordinates from being correctly fed to the weapon system

PUBLIC APOLOGY to mr. Tim Brennan - The latest Eurofighter update contains the RAF Demo repaint livery which is incorrectly credited to Robert Skipworth. This was a copy-paste error from my side while filling the aircraft.cfg. My most humble and sincere apologies to both: I really appreciate their contributions to my projects, and I know how it feels when you do not receive the right credits for what you do.

For the McGregor brothers, Colin and Ewan, who made such an informative programme to honour the RAF's 100th Birthday.

Thanks Dino for the 2 seater it looks beautiful in p3dv4,

i finally have remembered to post my thanks for this, and there cant be enough for what you do

and please stop mucking around and finish the hawkeye and greyhound

Good to see that the twin seater has been appreciated!

As for the new projects (Hawkeye and Greyhound) it will take a while - unfortunately, I do not have much time and I am doing what I can.

Speaking of the Typhoon, 1.10 will probably the last full update in a while - maybe I will release a further "light" update on my blog if I will get the manual TFLIR control working (which is a planned improvement for the F-35).

Maybe one day I'll get to fly the upgrade if FS Pilot Shop ever gets around to uploading it. ;)

Keep the pics coming they look great. :)

Late to the party, but .... :)

Am thinking about this addon. My pc meets the suggested requirements, but curious if anyone who has this addon compares to it to either Dino's T-45, his F-14, or the DCD-F/A-18E/F/G. The latter I find takes a noticeable hit (from my 30 max down to 18 or so fps), so I'm wondering if there's a similar number of MFDs in this plane, what can I expect performance-wise.

Thanks very much in advance.

EDIT: I'm running P3DV4.5. I did see a thread in the "other" forum, but this one had been much more heavily populated with content, with more recent posts, and with posts from members I'm pretty sure are running P3D.
