Inibuilds Bf-108 Taifun Released 2/24

I wonder if they are still working on another patch for Taifun. Not all things have been resolved with patch 1.0.1. Certainly the last patch improved some things and it was quite good, but I think that the flaps still cause too small drag for example.

With flaps 20 degrees during descending at a small angle you can able to accelerate instead of braking. It's definitely better, but still not enough.

Also in C&D not all things are on OFF position (like fuel tank), and slats they don't fit in full, even without any positive AoA.

I hope 1.0.2 incoming sooner or later.

Ok guys. Something from my side too. It's finished and typical repaint from my side. I will upload it this weekend.

Fantastic work Yoyo ! I love your new Matchbox concept of the scale model that doesn't require glue!

Lol, will be funny! :biggrin-new: However, there is an interesting story behind this idea from my side. One of the companies, making model kits, has just used my screenshot with my repaint. I won't say which one (sry). Unfortunately, they did it without asking and ... once I saw it while browsing their offers which of course was a surprise to me at first, and then I was just angry that no one even asked, especially since it was a commercial product! Otherwise, I'd probably be proud. I finally got in touch with them, provided evidence, and they admitted that their graphic designer, who they no longer work with, used my work without permission. We finally got along and my shelf in the basement gained some nice models that are still waiting to be glued :very_drunk:.

To be honest, I didn't plan to register D-IBMY but it was weekend and I had some free time :) This time I played a bit deeper with textures. Get ready to race over Egypt this week.

February 22–26, 1937 – The "International Circuit of the Oases" event at Almaza Airport in Egypt. 41 competitors take part in two races – a 1303-mile (2097 km) handicap race, and a speed race. Competing aircraft arrived from Austria, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Romania. :wavey:

The new repaint for iniBuilds Messerschmitt Bf-108 Taifun D-IBMY finished. This time the repaint shows an airplane which was used during International Circuit of the Oasis race Egypt 1937. This skin is a bit cleaner than the previous one (I had some requests for it), but it's more tired and the plane itself wasn't treated kindly enough ;>. Pictures of interior are above.

Quote: "Bf-108 D-IBMY on the podium of the 1937 oasis flight over Africa! A total of 41 participants from 11 nations accepted the invitation of the Egyptian Aeroclub and took part in the four-day competition. All aircraft with at least two seats, a high load and a correspondingly high take-off weight were allowed to take part, which resulted in points advantages. On the first day, the speed classification was started in Cairo, the Upper Egyptian Luxor had to be reached on the second day. After a rest day, the actual oasis flight took place on the fourth day of the competition, where the ability to navigate precisely was tested. The more than 1100-kilometre route led through the oases El Kharga, Dhakla, Farafra and Baharia back to the starting point in Cairo. The two Bf 108s starting for Germany shared the victory in the individual classification "comfort"; the crew Thomsen and Dempewolf on their Bf 108 D-IBMY also achieved a respectable second place in the overall classification. By the way, the overall victory also went to Germany: piloted by a pilot with the beautiful name Freiherr Speck v. Sternburg, a Junkers Ju 86 was chosen as the best aircraft".
