Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Inibuilds Short SC.7 Skyvan at MP.

I jumped in and picked up the SC7 Shorts Skyvan off the MS Store (which I usually avoid...but I really like this airplane). I've taken it around the pattern a few times, I like it. The only thing I really noticed is that acceleration on the runway seems a bit...ah-hem..."optimistic". Other than that, I hope they release a paintkit.

Darn...I missed your thread and posted my own on this. Agree. Perhaps Tom or another moderator can combine them.

Kent, how much is it?

I've been looking forward to this one ever since the announcement, and I really like it. As you'd expect from a flying box, it's not what you'd call slippery (throttle back, and it's like you've slammed on the brakes); but it's got good power, a good "stick-and-rudder" feel, and it's just the right kind of ugly as #@!!. Definitely worth the $10. I think I'll fly this a lot.

Kinda fun.

It's really nice. I was excited to see the parachutists in the back, but very disappointed they just sat there after I opened the ramp and rang the "jump" bell.

I mean, yeah, $9.99 and all, but that woulda been so cool.

I tried the same thing. I cursed their lily livers all the way back to the tarmac. It seems like something that is maybe waiting for the FS2004 version of the sim.

Even a click spot to manually hide the jumpers would have been better than nothing and that would have been trivial to implement by the devs.

Fuel seems pretty basic - see attached.

That said, I have it, I've done one circuit in it, and so far it's decent. I've already posted a Wishlist item over at the official board for a cargo variant. For a plane that was built to carry cargo, not including a cargo variant seems like a big missed opportunity.

Saw that post, didn't realize it was you. I added a wish to add the kln90b to the cargo variant. Seems like that would be perfect for this plane.
