I must admit, I'm getting a little impatient myself. Really looking forward to the T-33 and the multitude of repaints.
 
Wow. I rarely watch walkaround videos this long (probably because they're usually for jetliners), but as I'm watching right now it's really impressive. The level of detail in the textures on those wing tanks... The decal work... Actually finding the line on size for 50's aircraft rivets... This is looking like a must-get.

I was a little concerned that "Premiere" is going mean "high priced," but as long as they don't go full-on-2019-P3D on this, I'm in! (EDIT: Just saw the email. 19.99 UKP, which I'm guessing will be about $26 USA. Totally fair!)

It might be just me, but to me, the best-looking jets were the ones from the 50's like the T-33, definitely thru the Century Series, and then up to maybe the F-111. After that the designs became more practical and purpose built. If I had to pick one all-time favorite jet it would be the F-15, but it still doesn't have that romance with flight that the early series jets did.

I will give two thumbs up to the B-1 though, as one of best-looking aircraft I've ever seen in flight.

I broadly agree. I've got the GKS F-111, the JF Vulcan and Hawk, Dave Garwood's Hunter packages, and no doubt will get the various SWS B-52s as and when they are released. The modern types, such as the F-16, Eurofighter Typhoon, Rafale, Gripen, F-22 , F-35 etc just don't appeal to me at all - either in sims or in the real world. Never thought I'd lose interest in contemporary military aviation, but such is the case.

Most probabely absolutely !

Gone ! All mysterious exotic glamour, nostalgic romanticism, passion and enchanting fascination. Gone! In a split second, replaced by boring computer monitors. As if we do not have these things in front of us already ever since the seed of flight simulator came to fruitation in the great mind of Bruce Artwick.

Inibuilds themselves could not have explained it and show it more clearer and to the point with this snippet from their T-33 walk around video:


Flight simulation via a computer and monitor has gone full circle. Real flight is not possible anymore without them. 'Fly by wire' they called it. We should've kept a better eye on it... too late now. :stupid:
 
For those waiting...there are a few more T-33 "early looks" out there on You Tube done by some reviewers (one is in German). Wish Inibuilds would **just** get on with it...REALLY READY for the T-Bird!!!
 
Excellent preview video done at what is known today as Southern California Logistics Airport, KVCV, Victorville, Calif. Previously George AFB. I was there in 1969-70 out of Tech School, working in the bomb dump, Munitions Maintainance. Then to Kadena AFB, Okinawa for 18months, and back to GAFB until discharge in Feb, 1973. I was crew chief of midnight flightline delivery of the morning training loadouts. The bomb dump was located across the road from the base, on the south side, where the Federal Prison is presently located.

We had a couple T-33s assigned to the base, though we were primarily an F-4 Ground Attack training base.

There is one glaring error in the initial walkaround video. The aircraft is parked almost on top of a storm drain. NO, NO, NO! Fuel run-off spillage is never allowed near a water flow, especially since the conversion to SC Logistics. GAFB was known for badly contaminated ground water, and a lot of cleanup was performed in the 80's & 90's. The base housing areas still have not been completely razed and cleaned up because of the amount of asbestos that was used in the buildings.


Looking forward to the T-33.
 
My follow-on assignment from ICBMs was Disaster Prep Officer at GAFB...to which I said "no thanks". Got off active duty, went reserve...and 25 years later...after gaining 4 more AFSCs and serving a stint as Wing/CC during OEF/OIF/HOA, retired after 29 years total. My neighbor is an old GAFB F-4E jock...fun talking to him about his time there. Oops...need to get back on topic-- that T-33A!!!!

To think that A2A had promised us an Accusim T-33 for FSX 10 years ago... but they got too busy making C172s...
Last T-33 I used in a sim was made by Piglet :)
