iniBuilds T-33?

Has anyone managed to get the T-33 flying in 2024? I have brought it over and dropped it in my Community Folder, but can't get thrust out of the engine. Either something is broke, or I broke something. Anyone else have a different experience?

I can't even get my community folder going! Everything is pointing to the community folder correctly and user.opt file looks good but nothing is being recognized inside of it.

Yep, engine modeling is broke.

I’m not going to mess with FS2020 planes in FS2024 for a couple of weeks. MS is making FS2020 compatibility a priority so they can get the Marketplace spun up, so I figure my time is best spent just exploring the built-in planes until they get more patches out, which shouldn’t be that long given how high a priority Marketplace has to be.

(I made this decision after trying the T-33 in 2024. :) )

@LouP, go to the Library tab and click the gear next to the Search box. You can verify the location there, open the Community folder, and change the location.

Thanks Denny, I think it's working in the respect that the planes show up in the sim but not working when you try to filter for the stuff loading from the community folder in the marketplace screens (if that makes sense). I'll be doing some more testing today.

There's a native update to the T-33 now! Works great, except I kept losing power and crashing.

Reported the problem and Inibuilds reports the problem is due to the more detailed engine simulation. As with a real first-generation turbojet, you have to advance the throttle slowly and steadily or the engine will stall out.

At first, even doing this, I was still getting stalls. Then I realized I had started the flight with the hardware throttle pushed forward to about 66% and then pulled it back rapidly, which to the sim looked like a quick shove forward at start and then fast reduction.

So next flight, I pulled the throttle all the way back before clicking fly, and then upon starting the flight, held the brakes and slowly and steadily advanced the throttle to full. Everything worked great! Engine stayed up, no stalls, flew a perfectly normal flight.

Well, until landing, when I realized I'd come in way too fast and bounced, so I instinctively slammed the throttle forward as I raised my gear to go around. And *that* stalled my engine.

But that was pilot error, not a problem with the sim. RIP Lt. Denny and his T-33. :)
