Hello

I have fsx installed on vista 32.
After the installation, I got no icon on the desktop
Furthermore-I instal-sp1 and SP1a and installed the accelerator.

I have installed My Traffic 5.2 but did not work and
Ultimate traffix for Fsx and worked either.
I think the whole installation went wrong on Vista.

They are still more people who have installed FSX on Vista 32?

They say on the Internet that I should create a new account
for fsx to install it?
Can anyone here help me I do not know more.:isadizzy:

Thanks
Coola.

If you installed FSX to the default folder, that was your first mistake.

However, try Start/Microsoft/Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X

For me FSX works fine with Vista 32 without a new account, however I don't installed it into the default folder. I can't remember exactly but I think FSX just created an icon in the Vista games explorer (accesible via the Start menue, on the right side) and I had to create a desktop icon by myself.

fsx on vista`

Create a new folder, say C:\FSX and in the FSX installation process, select "Custom install" and browse to that folder. See:

Tanks Ananda voor the good help you giving me.
Now it works fine with the traffic.
I did not know that FSX in another folder was in
vista.
Otherwise it was always Microsoft Games.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy 2009:ernae:

Vista likes to keep a tight rein on anything inside of Program Files, which is where most programs are installed by default.

Entertainment software is best installed outside of Program Files. I made a folder called Games and intalled FSX and rFactor there.

I have Vista 32bit and all my games are installed in E:\gry\ folder (gry mean games in Polish).
