Imagine having to stand up every 97 rounds and reload your gun whilst holding the control stick in your knees lol!

We give you a full loadout as Makai says, but early brit craft were limited in numbers of drums they could carry (and some used the early Lewis drums with half that number of bullets in too) so the N11 we have less rounds than say the N17 Lewis.

N17 vickers, or later craft Se5, Tripe twin gun etc are more payback :)

Does P3 have the gun jams? If so. Ccrashh, it may be a jam that you have and not run out of ammo. So, keep trying to fire now and again after you think you are out of ammo. I've been conned a few times into thinking I'm out of ammo ( In my Off2, that is - still OFF3less in UK here :))

I hit the F5 key, it shows the bllets at zero, I've tried to get the gun to reload, I don't see any animation of the gun being pulled down.

It must be something in my control set up. Shift+C isn't working (yet) still expermenting.

When I hit Shift+C I get a message "canopy open" if I hit it again I get "Canapy closed".

I think my CFS3 controls are messing with my OFF 3.

When I first get into the plane and check ammo it says I have 179 rounds. Is that all in the one drum? OR is that the total for all drums.

There is no reloading per se, you are given the max loadout the plane would carry and (I believe) any extra bullets that may have been available. When you are out, you are out...

If the (F5), the ONLY ammo counter in the game, says No More, you can lower and raise that Lewis Gun till you're blue in the Face

No More - Empty - Shot

As we say the animation is for fun it does not reload. As the guys say you have ALL your ammo already loaded.

In real life you'd fire 97 then get click click....then have to stand up and reload it (Se5 and some others you would bring the gun down but after combat likely, and luckily you also have a Vickers to keep fighting with).

So depending on the craft, and the drum size, and the number of drums.....

Se5a for example - carried 1x97 drum loaded, and usually 3 spare - however you get them ALL loaded in the lewis gun (388). However if you want to simulate that reload every 97 rounds or so stop and press shift+C in SOME craft it will bring the gun down.

Great info, thanks guys,

I've been playing this game all day. The Wife is going to kill me lol ..

FANTASTIC SIM!!
