Interesting place. A little pricey though!

A former shipmate of mine sent me information on this place:

http://www.hangar09.com/index.html

Looks a little pricey, but if it was located closer to me, I would go there and give it a try.

Taking a look at the screen they use, I could come close to that setup myself. I do have a DLP projector and a 6 by 8 foot screen, but haven't used it in a long time.

This place was discussed here about four, maybe five months ago. It does look it would be a great place to hang out for awhile...

...but, it's just a bit too far from Chicagoland to be a viable destination for me! :bump:

That is pretty cool. While the aircraft would not be my aircraft of choice in the Navy's inventory. Doing it would be worth it just for the experience. $29.99 does seem like a lot though for 30 minutes, especially with a 7 minute briefing included in that 30 minutes... Probably cause they want you to spend another $29.99 for the next 30 hoping they get you hooked. Definately wins my vote tho for coolest pizza place ever.

We saw it from the interstate a couple of weeks ago whilst we were in VA Beach for the Oceana airshow. It looks fairly large from the outside. We never did clear any time in our schedule to check it out...too much other stuff to do!! Will put it on the list for next year.:mixedsmi:

Ten bucks for the dude/gal who stops associating flying fighter jets with "Top Gun". :p

Hangar 09 is in a building that used to be an indoor baseball batting range so it's a pretty good sized place. The wood fire pizza looks pretty good. Hey_Moe and I have been considering a recon mission out there to check it out, we need to follow through on that. :)
