Interesting Places to Fly

If it's not in Bing's satellite data, then it has to be done by hand. With thousands of landmarks around the globe, that simply takes time. If you go to the "official" forum, there's a wishlist section. Threads there can be "upvoted" by other users so that dev's can see what people want most.

For me, FS2020 has offered one of the best overall sceneries I have ever seen for my town, (Wilmington NC). There is a nice freeware update for KILM but now there is an inexpensive payware version of the airport available on Simmarket that is just amazing!

I had a freeware for Wilmington that I didn't keep. The terminal looked nice, but I discovered that some of the sloped ramp areas were just virtual holographic projections that the plane drove right through. At one point, I found myself chuckling and humming the Jaws theme. I may have to look into the pay version...

Those KC-135E's would probably have had their booms stripped for parts by now, but that looks awesome!

I've been using FlightSpots for some time to find interesting locations to fly in and around. It's a bit lacking as it doesn't get much activity but I've found it super useful to be able to just copy and paste the coordinates into MSFS and go.

After re-reading through this thread, I think I'll leave it up. Even though the site in the OP is no longer active, there are still some good locations listed here. But I will unstick it, so if there's no real interest, it can just fall away on its own.
