iPhone lost all contacts?

Lionheart

SOH-CM-2014
Hey all,

Any iphone users here that also lost all of there contacts? I also lost the ability to go to yahoo mail which is where my contacts were. Tried all day to restore this with no luck. I hear there was a smart phone virus out 3 days ago. I wonder if that's what happened?

I wish i could get this working again... Arrgh.

Bill

I lost all my contacts on iPhone the very last time Apple had a major upgrade.
LOST ALL, it was my fault that time,
it took forever to download like hours,
and I thought it was done, I disconnected and dang all contacts gone.
It wasn't a virus though.

The next days were painful recovering my contacts manually, though AT&T wireless.
Bill, did you try to use the mobile me?

Hey ChaCha,

Yes, I tried that. MobileMe cannot connect with the Yahoo server nor Apples server, which leads me to think something bigger is wrong.

It also wouldnt allow me to load the vCard at MobileMe.

And now ATT cannot log me in at their website, lol... arrgh.

Restored!

If you plug in your device, when iTunes comes up and the Device pops up on the menu bar on the left side of the screen, you can click on the Device string and see all backup points created in the past. You can also 'create' a backup (which I highly recommend if you have an iPod/iPhone/iPad). Then I restored the Device to an earlier point in time, it reloaded all, rebooted, and Voila, contacts!

Very glad. Even the pictures in the name cards are there. Nice....! Thank the Lord for backups.
