IRIS AudioworX F-16 sound-pack for FSX released!

File corrupted ??

This is the message if found on the cmd window 'program too big to fit in memory'
I think the file i've downloaded, is corrupted, because i've 3Gb free !!
I'm not alone in this situation. And Iris not responding since 24Hrs.
Payware.....Payware... NO---> NIGHTMARE !!

Well there's nothing wrong with the file on the server, I've just downloaded it and installed it with no problem whatsoever.

I would suggest that your download dropped out prior to fully completing as that will often cause the 'Program too big to fit in memory' error.

I'll reset your download count so you can try again.

FYI, the file size of the full download should display Size on Disk: 25.7 MB (26,992,640 bytes) when you right click the downloaded icon and select properties.

Regards

David.

Awesome video!!

I have a big question, which pertains to all interior sounds in aircraft where either a set of headphones, or a full helmet with headphones would normally be worn. Aren't the wind/gear/switch/engine sounds actually a little louder than normally heard with the headsets in place??

I ask, because when I go flying with my buddy just in a Cessna 150/182 class or a Piper Warrior class aircraft, or even in our ultralites, when we had them, the noises were very much muted compared to without the earcovers. It seems that most soundsets use unmuted sounds, or even exterior volume, in enclosed cockpits. I realize that some, especially warbirds, would be extremely loud, especially without the headsets, but even that video did not seem "overpowering" except when he did the high speed pass and turn. and I'm sure he barely heard it, with the tight fitting helmet/headphones on. As I've never had the fortune to get a ride in anything other than the aforementioned Cessnas/Pipers, I don't know for sure. I do remember one ride in a Piper Tomahawk that was extremely noisy, even with the headphones on. But our small airport didn't keep that plane very long.

Just a realism question/inquiry, not a negative.

Issues

Modelr, we tried the muted interior a while ago with the T-6, and unsuprisingly, people are so used to similar level sounds between the interior and exterior, that we had to change it back.. unrealistic yes...popular..not really..lol

As for the issues with downloading the soundpack..here's an update.

Downloading the product file via FTP is fine, however downloading via the storefront adds 1 byte to the end file size which corrupts the file.

The downside is that this is NOT limited to the F-16 soundpack, this is across the entire catalog which points to something effecting store downloads.

I'm currently looking into this and double checking file sizes against that of our backups to make sure nothing malicious has happened.

More info as I get it.
