Ooooo, lots of stuff to cover...
Firstly, the link below will take you to the IRIS forums C-27J patch page, that's where you'll find the latest info on any patches/modifications for the product. I've updated one of the systems files and upgraded to 1.2.1
http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/topic/9341-c-27-patch-status/
Secondly, let's go through some of the issues brought up..
1. When starting the engines, either using autostart or manually, follow the following procedure.
- Make sure that your fuel cutoff switches are in the 'cut' position.
- Make sure your park brake lever is pulled out.
- Turn Engine 1 starter knob to the 'start' position.
- When oil pressure on the ACARS screen is at 40 PSI or greater and the L OIL PX warning is extinguished, THEN press the left fuel cutoff button to switch fuel flow ON and the engine should start. You should get a peak of around 80% N1 before it settles between 65-70% N1 at idle.
- Next, repeat the above for the right engine.
2. Engine Fires...
As you're flying, keep an eye on the ITT. If it exceeds 833 degrees C, you'll get a L ENG HOT or R ENG HOT indication on the ACARS screen.. If that happens, decrease your speed, increase your altitude or decrease your power to the engines.
If you fly with the ENGINE HOT warning on for in excess of 5 minutes, the respective engine will catch fire and well, it's a one way trip down from there..
During testing we found that low level high speed flight (less than 2000 feet and 300+ knots) for extended periods caused issues with engine overheating. So just bear that in mind..
3. AWACS
We developed several different variants of AEW&C equipment during testing, the E-3 dome style, the E-2C rotodome style and the Saab ERIEYE system. At the last moment the ERIEYE system was chosen due to it's real world likelyhood of being fitted to an EC-27J variant. Whilst I personally enjoyed (and in some cases preferred) the rotodome style, it wasn't the correct fit for the aircraft. Down the line, if we have to do another model update, maybe it'll make its way in, who knows.

People have already requested a carrier variant and refuelling variant..lol.
4. Handling
Finally, as indicated in the manual. To get the best out of this aircraft, contrary to popular belief, fly the aircraft with your realism settings on easy. This was simply due to the final FDE tweaks being done on my system with easy settings on (I forgot to alter them after a new fsx.cfg build!) If you run at realistic, it'll be oversensitive and unstable. This is NOT an issue with Pam's FDE, it's an issue where I simply made last minute adjustments based on my systems settings..
Not sure if there's anything else to cover.
Enjoy it, and painters, please note that with any paints you've done, the Tail Texture needs updating to take advantage of some of the EC-27 and AC-27 paints..
Ciao for now.
