True Chris, but very little if no work had been done between then and late August. The UV mapping hadn't been finished, no animation work had commenced & the VC hadn't even been touched at all... oh yes and it was running Cessna FDE's.. :D Our aim was to be see if we could get the product from where it was to release standard in a week..(Still a hell of a lot of work) :) Needless to say we didn't, but it's better to get it right than get it out.. :)

Tigisfat, whilst I apprecate the freedom of posting here, surely that image if in relation to Chris's previous posting is a little uncalled for? Chris had a very valid question and one which can be answered with a minimum of fuss.

I promise to CBris that I meant nothing by it other than a few laughs. I didn't even think he was being that smug, I've just been looking far and wide to find the perfect use for the picture, and that was it. Surely you can understand how a commentary picture like that may only get used once ever.

Anyway Smudge, you did say "build and release by September 1st" in your very first post. We all knew this was for publicity (and we enjoyed the stunt, mind you) but I think most of us think you implied that it had yet to be built. I don't say "I'm going to build a boat" and restore/finish one.

BTW, who was your challenger?

Okay, point taken.. :D

My challenger was and continues to be an impending wedding date.. :D and a budget to meet. tick tock...

I'm happy... after all, the heads up was posted here, after all. :173go1:

But don't please rush this plane, whatever you do Smudge. In its FS9 iteration, it was the BEST little plane in FS9 - and it was FREE. Now as you are using the original data as provided by Kev Lechmanski and co, then I simply expect nothing less than that in FSX ;) and having just enjoyed the Piper Cub from A2A and something that is still in Beta, then all I can say is, you've got your work cut out :D

So Sept. first was optimistic, but I'll be happy with tomorrow :bump:

Cool Cool,

Yes, we're all very much fans of the FS9 LIC Christen Eagle and as such, we've all been very well aware that there's no point doing this product unless we can at the very least, reach the bar Kevin has set. The advantage of throwing in a single seater and various different versions might be a nice touch, but unless it's a. easy to paint and b. flies like a dream, it'll bomb.. :)

Speaking of which Chris, PM me with your forum access details and I'll arrange beta access again.. only fair considering you're the god of eagle repaints..lol.
