Iris F-16D repaints

Zsolt, check your colours for the Greek one, they're not usually that bleached out on the Ghost Scheme...

Well, so far not met with a new painting, but also in the display was worn out! The bottom illustration is very similar picture!
If the lower image is not worn, then I see it wrong! :salute:

Actually there are 2 different schemes. The early lower block F16's use regular paint like in the top image, the later block 50's like the one in the 2nd picture are coated with Radar Absorbent Material (RAM). This coating usually looks very weathered, it is hard to keep clean, and generally a pain in the rear for the crew dogs.

In any event, rarely seen Greek F-16 in this state! :icon_lol:
In short, the favorite HAF, and your favorite aircraft, the F-16
I love that such a worn, it also seems to use them!

Regards,

Zsolt

Any hopes of seeing these released? I've seen screenies of a camo'd Edwards bird, an awesome Nellis WA Viper, plus these. I'd love to see them released. Any thoughts on a UAE F-16F? I know it's a different model (Blk50 vs. Blk60) but close enough.

Please consider.

Thanks!
Jeff

Great paints! OT a bit, but does the USAF use the conformal tanks on our Falcons? If not, any knowledge why not?

No. That "LF" F-16 is from the Singapore training Det at Luke. They do use the CFTs and big spine.

The 40th Flight Test Squadron at Eglin AFB tested the CFTs for F-16 use, but that was the extent of USAF involvement.

Such a shame that Zsoltquack won't reply to this thread or PMs. He does fantastic work.
