Iris PC-21 pre-order model?

My frame rates weren't bad. They became kind of heavy around Cardiff (Orbx Wales), but I was expecting that, especially since I also had many Firefox windows open and other things going on. Overall, I'm really liking this plane. Now I just have to check prop rotation on shut down. It seemed backwards to me, based on how the props are modeled.

Beautiful model, I can't wait to delve further into it's systems and download more of those paint schemes you guys made. Also, yes, I already voted (liked) my favorite schemes at your Facebook page.
 
For the external tanks, try to load the airplane with them empty (via the fuel manager on the "free flight" screen.

In my case (and with the last beta version), that was sufficient to have a clean airplane.

The spoilers on the wings are roll spoilers only, and only deploy I think from memory, the last 20% of aileron deflection. They don't deploy with the airbrake located under the fuselage.

The strobes in the final model are 3D modeled strobes unlike the particle effect strobes in the demo. This is due to the FSX bug of 'floating particle effects' seen on other FS models using particle based lighting.
 
First impression - wow, second impression - waaaaaahhhhhhoooooooooooooooo - what a fantastic plane. Model, paints, handling - absolut superb (IMHO) :mixedsmi: Thanks to IRIS and the Development-Team of the PC-21. This will be one of my favorits for a long, long time.

Ok got it about the roll spoilers and witnessed. Really liked the particle effect strobes a lot better. No bug seen in the demo.

Its KPIH....its my default airport that I do most of my flying at. Has a little bit of all scenery in it....a nice big water area and mountains not far away and some nice flat lands. Its ORBX ground textures.
 
The Pre-Order Demo is finished now, the official (full) version will be released in the very very near future (hours, rather than days).
 
Still trying to figure out how to remove the wing tanks, but I haven't delved into the manuals yet. However, one word describes this beauty - IMMERSIVE! One of only a few add-ons I've ever tried that has a VC that really makes you feel as if you're in the real deal. As a future update option, I wouldn't mind a config panel that would allow you to set it up with or without the wing tanks though. No big deal for now as I'll figure it out at some point.

I just had the same feeling as I approached my home field (see pix). I used 'Smudge's' guage fix to get better FPS. (Sorry a little dark, but it was a dark approach.)
