Hallo friends,
when I go on the indicated page, / freeware / clicked on the agree terms on the down of the page I get white page with dropbox - - - - in the url
is there another way to go to see their freeware?

If you click on the link supplied in the first post it takes you to the main IRIS webpage. . .there click on "FREEWARE". . .that takes you to a disclaimer page where you click on the hilited line about "I agree to. . .yada, yada, yada".
Once you do that it takes you to this page where you put your cursor on any aircraft and you get the two options "Dropbox" or "Download", that's all there is to it.

Thanks for the heads up! I always wondered whether I should purchase the one below. I never did as I'm more a propeller guy. Now I realise I perhaps should have bought it earlier....
I can still very well remember the first time I saw an A-10. Very early eighties, the first A-10 would be stationed in Europe and the USAF decided to make a tour with two A-10 along some airfields. I was still in the Air Force and the airfield I was stationed, was one of the lucky ones. Just before noon, the two A-10 would make a low pass.
Although it was still strictly forbidden to take photographs on a military base in those day, I was ready, with my Eastern European camera and 300mm telephoto lens. It was cloudy weather so the aircraft would have a nice background.
With a small group we were waiting at the edge of the platform until one said; "There they are!" The guy obviously had good eyes as I didn't see anything, until I realised there are several definitions of a low pass.
The aircraft were at least at 3,000 feet! Not really what we had expected. But I still have the picture I took that moment. A tiny black silhouette, which could be anything...... But I know it was an A-10 and the picture is still better than nothing

A reprimand
My last summer cruise in 1993 was from San Diego aboard a guided missile cruiser ( now on the bottom of the ocean somewhere). Like you I was so excited about all the ships in the harbor I was ondeck with my Nikon I had bought in Japan the previous year. Anyway, as I was snapping away, the 1mc blared as I was taking pictures of some berthed submarines "Tell that officer to put away that camera NOW! Oops, I didn't know I couldn't snap them back then. Now, too all those "classified" subs are mothballed too. LOL!
