Iris Yak-130 Flight model Demo..

I put this together at something like 3AM this morning, so fogive the pilot error half way through.. This demonstrates the alpha 3 version of the Yak-130s flight model. Its using the same technology used in the Su-37 and Iris F-22 I wont say it fly's realistically. I'll let you folks decide that when its released.. hope you enjoy.

Well, to give credit where credit is due, the visual model i'm using to develope the flight model on was created by Hadi Tahir and is freeware downloadable at http://www.fsxaddons.com/files/yakovlev-yak130/ab17d974-d10c-40f2-b00c-9be500b26259.

Many times, visual and flight model development happens at the same time so i need to use a mule until the actual model is finished as is what happened in this case.. But Yes, Hadi did a nice job on the model. Its not as fancy as most of our work, but its a lot of fun..

Nice flying, (minus the oops), this is my favourite kind of jet, not too much power, good visibility, trainer type, just a lot of fun to fly in those kind of aeros over a field. It looks like it loses quite a bit of height in the turns, perhaps a result of that rather large fin which must pull the tail up when knife edge without considerable rudder input to counter it.
 
a bit too much height is lost.. the ground weight is accurate, and with an operational cieling of 53000 feet, the lift is at least in the ball park and the wing is correct, so i'm thinking that it may be piling on too much mass as it accelerates towards the ground. unfortunately, there isnt a working G meter in it so i cant see how far negative i'm going..
