Recently i have come across a website that has some repaints i would like to download but they are in rar files. What i would like to know is, is it possible to run zip files and rar files at the same time? I have downloaded the freeware rarfile exe available before and downloaded rar files and then reverted to zipfiles by restoring to a previous date but i have mislaid documents doing that. Is it possible?

Regards Paul Day.

I use winrar all the time. It is the best free zip utility I have used.

Sometimes - fortunatelly very rare - zip-files are (or include rared files) actually rar-files in spite of the file extension. Then an ordinary zip"only"-program refuses to open them and often reports error(s) in file(s). Using winrar for zips too avoids these problems.

I use 7zip myself and haven't had any problems in the few times I used it (for .rar files)

IZArc is also an excellent program and I've had no problems opening the occasional rar files.:salute:
