Is there a simple fix to this?

Hi,
Is there anybody here who makes aircraft in FSDS? If so, I have a simple question. I built an aircraft (Northrop Delta) and painted it. I textured it in FSDS and took it into FS Repaint and applied a paintjob. It all looks fine during daylight in fs2004, but if it is night time in FS 2004, not a single texture shows up. Even the gauges in the VC do not show up at night. Should I attach "_LM" after every BMP texture file? I just don't know how to fix this problem. Has anyone encountered this before?
Thanks,
Sid

Hi,

If this is happening with all planes, you need to increase your texture quality sliders, etc.

If not, you need to go to Edit/Manage Textures in FSDS (as I remember) and make sure that each of your textures uses Night Maps (_L textures). Most people use the + alphas choice. If not set properly, change this and remake the plane.

Then you need to create night textures alongside your day textures, with _L added to the file name. These can be black textures, with light colored squares where you want things to light up. They are not like _LM scenery night textures that have to have all the detail there too. These _L textures are ADDED to the day texture to make the night textures.

Hope this helps,
