HELLO ALL,
BEEN OUT OF THE GROVE FOR A WHILE AND MY MEMORY FAILS ME. IS THERE A TUTORIAL THAT MAY HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT PLANE TYPES ie:fs2000 to CFS2, Fs2002 to CFs2, ect... and the steps required to make it all come together. I tried the search feature on this site but found nothing that really was of any help.

Thanks Bones,
Do you have a link to his site?

Dave

Sure do Dave. His site is not necessarily dealing with conversions, but in converting a combat aircraft from fs2002, fs9, fsX, a .dp file is important, and Caleb pretty well has the .dp file down. wish I had time to get more into it.

PS= There are many in the forum who convert, I'm sort of a novice. SC5000, Peperez, several others have the technique down pat.

There are several elements to converting planes,
I specialise in working on the visual models.
Others do Flight models, panels and sound.
For visual models, I have tried to make a do it like this tutorial, but each plane is different and requires variations on the technique that cannot be applied unless one understands what is being done. As a result I get a lot of PMs saying "I did what you said and it doesn't work".

In general I prefer to devote my attention to planes that can be shared and will work as CFS2 AI.
This means they must have some degree of multi LOD and have rudimentry breaking parts.
