I was thinking of doing either the British or American campaign again but instead of upgrading my plane to the latest version I was going to try and do it as a ground attack pilot. Is the campaign built so that if you do well attacking ground targets will you do well or since you're not dogfighting will the "war" go badly against you?

Has anyone tried this before and what were the results?
