ISS alert for east coasters, especially VA, NC, and SC

It will be visible tonight at 5:51, but very low in the southeastern sky. But tomorrow night, it will be perfect, especially for Raleigh viewers, as it will pass directly overhead at between 6.18 and 6.19 tomorrow night. Watch for it, you cannot miss it even under the brightest city lighting. It will move very fast when passing overhead, as it is nearer to earth than when one sees it as tonight, lower in the sky.

Go here for times, it will be good again November 10 for us.http://www.heavens-above.com/PassSu...6.608&lng=-79.296&loc=Ringgold&alt=161&tz=EST This is for my coordinates, you can personally type in your own.

LuckyDog, it should pass overhead in your area.

My brother and I stood outside tonight and watched it shoot across our sky right at 1816hrs. Amazing!

Somewhat of a humbling experience to stand on the planet and watch a spacecraft outside our atmosphere streak across the night sky !

Thanks very much for the heads-up on this.

Yeppers !!

I had a 3 minute show tonite at 18:14 and have another on Wed. at 17:48. If its less than 3 min. I usually skip it.

Auckland had a rare viewing a couple of Sundays ago: No cloud, and a 4-minute ISS traverse.
Just brilliant!
You can't help but be awed by that man-made space thing motoring across the sky...
