On the Spotthestation website you can register for email notifications of when the ISS will be in view. All they want is an addy and a location (city). The notification will show a time, where it will appear, how long visible, where it will disappear. The time is accurate to within 30 secs. or so and it's easy to spot when you know the info.
Because of the orbital variation and rotation of the earth most locations will get one or two viewings each day for 2-3 days then nothing for a week or so (dawn/sunset passes are the easiest to see) and daylight passes are not mentioned.
It really is a sight to see.
