Issue with Warp Mode

Hi guys and a big thanks to the team for this great Sim!

But maybe you can help me out here: Almost every time I warp (OK I should enjoy the flight real time but...) when I reach the target and exit Warp mode I get instantly blown to smithereens- I guess I hit another plane or two, no reaction time at all- just plain dead. I´ve tried various throttle settings and auto trim as well- still dead.

Is it a bug or is it just me?

Cheers
Bill

Is it for every mission, no matter who you fly with?

Tell us more.

Thanks,

Hi

I have the same problem. Yes it almost happens in every mission and no matter who i fly with :help: and my pilot usually dead :engel016:

Sounds to me, that you're smashing into your own wingman

Check your ...Formation Spacing on Normal in Workshop

If it helps .. it's only a stopgap, until WM can tackle the problem

That's partially Why such a problem would escape unoticed

As a rule, the Developers Don't use WARP

If the Spacing Doesn't Help . . Try engaging WARP the old CFS3 way

123mph at 1000 foot minimum

PS .. there's a proceedure, post back if ya wanna try it :kilroy:

Actually I use warp a lot in testing, and don't get this so must be related to a setting or PC performance. Maybe can you try warping in much shorter bursts rather than long distances, see if it helps?

If you upgraded from P2 may be a good time to do a clean ununstall and reinstall as per the FAQ then see if the problem still persists. Also use the original CFS3.exe not a replacement one.

Warp

Hi Mark,

one thing more with my (and not only my :)) warp problem:
A have a clean P3 Install. (not updated from P2) and the original cfs3.exe

Mike

Try with a test with scenery and terrain sliders set to "1" please?

Also, what area are you in when this happenes? Flanders? I ask because I warped the hell out of everything when I was Beta testing and never had this happen.

The more info the better.

Hi guys
this annoying thing happens in the various location either flying as German,British,French or American pilot.

Warp

Hi Mark,

One thing first: i'm very happy with P3. It's the very first time the feeling for WWI Air Combat is back after RB3D. The whole Team has build a gem. Thank you all for that !

I will test the warp thing, so i hope soon can say at which constellation it happens. I will test it later at war because i've begun in 1915/16 with a Fokker Eindecker and a Nieuport11.

Best Mike

Hi Polovsky first of all congratulations for this great work you have my many many thanks.
So, i tried scenery and terrain sliders to "1", this trick worked once but not for second time. Please help.

Cheers Dias1995

In my case, the warp problem has appeared in every single (german) campaign I've started so far.
Type of aircraft, area, date or squadron didn't matter.
I've re-installed the game on my XP SP3 partition, did a new install on my Vista 64bit partition,
but the problem remains.
Have to check it out with slider settings one "1" for scenery and terrain.

p.s.: I'm playing the game on a quad core system (Q9550 2.83GHz).
Maybe I'll setting it up on my old 3 GHz P4 HT for testing, although
the graphic card probably won't make it.

hallo all,
after a dozen of killed pilots, there are some thinks i have found out wich reduced the warpkill.
first of all, it might be wether the german version of 3.1exe or it might have something to do with the regional settings, because there are pretty much europeans, especially german players with that problem. but that's only a shot in the dark.
- before warp, reduce your throttle to very slow and activate the autopilot (control+shift+a), then warp
- get out of warp before reaching a waypoint and deactivate autopilot. fly to the waypoint normaly. don't wait for the warp feature to turn off by itself by reaching the waypoint. that killed a lot of pilots.
- when leaving warp, do not immediately turn it on again to go further, but deactivate autopilot, fly some seconds manualy and then reduce throttle again, hit autopilot and then go to warp again. and don't forget to go out before arriving to the next waypoint.
that reduced so far my accidents, but i am still testing further.

it's a bug

and soon to be swatted.......now that's follow up....thanks Winder/Pol/P3 team

wow

Wow guys, thanks for all the info. If it helps I am running a clean version but on a german XP Version.

Bill

Hello Creaghorn
tell me something pls, which way i can exit from warp? With which button i mean

Thanks in advance

Great news, Winder. Thanks for taking care of the problem.

@dias1995: ctrl + x exits warp mode

I also have problems with the warping, which is a little annoying considering the fact that it takes literally hours to fly missions who don´t takes place within a radius less than 40 miles.
Is there an ETA for 1.2?

Thanks Schlonz and i hope the OFF team resolve the problem soon, hopefully with version 1.2
