Hmmm, VATSIM is bigger flying USA I believe. I checked your ivao link and only 3 controllers were on in the USA. VATSIM has over 20 at the moment.

VATSIM and IVAO are the 2 childs of SATCO where everything begins in 1998.

SATCO was the union of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 95, ProController and The first version of SquawkBox where in 97 birth the online flight.
