ive decided on GEX..i think

i like the purchase options for this on flight1,do it a section at a time..but now my question is...does one still need UTX?..ive read that you needed UTX with GEX ,is this still true?..where i read the story seemed to be old...
 
Gex is just textures... you don't NEED utx... but it looks nicer with the vector it adds...

Tbh, buy FTX Global for textures.. the globe for FAR cheaper than all the GEX packs, and far better quality. in fact, global plus the open LC and open Vector packs is FAR cheaper than all the utx and all the gex.
 
Daveroo, I have had GEX for years as there was nothing else correcting the many errors around my home town. The rivers didn't even exist with the default scenery. GEX help considerably. I have recently purchased FTX Global and found it far superior to GEX. In fact GEX has been completely uninstalled and is shelved.

My recommendation is to definitely buy FTX Global. It blends perfectly with all the scenery I have purchased and made myself. Hope this helps.
 
Oh but you will be so happy you did it. Make FSX almost a completely new experience. :icon_lol:
